Pennington pensioner Dianne Roebuck died from severe multiple injuries in collision with car on the A337 Milford Road in Lymington, inquest at Winchester Coroners’ Court hears

A PENNINGTON pensioner died after suffering severe injuries when she was hit by a car, an inquest has heard.

Dianne Roebuck (77) was pronounced dead at the scene having been struck by a blue Vauxhall Meriva on the A337 Milford Road in Lymington just before 2pm on Tuesday 27th August.

The cause of death was read out during a hearing opened at Winchester Coroners’ Court.

Adjourned, a full inquest is set to take place at the same venue on 27th August 2025.

As reported by the A&T, a 60-year-old Lymington woman was arrested on the day of the collision on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She was later released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Paying tribute to Dianne, who lived on Newbridge Way, her family expressed their “profound sadness” at her death.

"She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters, grandchildren and other members of her family,” they said.
