What’s On: Coastal Comedy featuring Zoe Lyons, The Barn, Ringwood
TV comic and quiz show host Zoe Lyons will headline a Coastal Comedy show at The Barn in Ringwood.
A regular face on TV, Zoe Lyons is one of the country’s best-loved comedians having appeared on BBC’s Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Mock the Week and Have I Got News For You. She is also the host of the quiz show Lightning, a regular on QI, and a survivor of Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins.
Hailed for her on-stage confidence and razor-sharp wit, Zoe took her first steps down the comedy path in 2003 after training as an actress at the Poor School in London. She went on to win the Funny Women Competition in 2004, and her debut Edinburgh show was nominated for the comedy newcomer award. In 2008 she won Dave’s Funniest Joke of The Fringe Award.
Coastal Comedy spokesperson Adrienne Coles said: ‘I am very excited to be back at The Barn with this superb line-up. Everyone needs a good laugh and it’s a great night out to look forward to as the evenings start to draw in.’
Also performing on the night will be Michael Fabbri who effortlessly flits between controversial topics and light-hearted silliness. Completing the line-up will be BBC New Comedy Award 2021 finalist James Ellis, as seen on the BBC New Comedy Award 2021 and writer for BBC’s “Newsjack”.
Coastal Comedy is a small independent business run by Adrienne who is a comic herself and has a passion for comedy and books the acts as well as promotes and hosts every show. Each line-up is hand-picked to ensure the best fit for the audience and the most belly laughs.
